Two things. 1. If you're in Atlanta, buy a ticket for a Peachtree Food Tour 2. If you're not in Atlanta, buy a ticket for a Peachtree Food Tour, and go to Atlanta. Seriously! I don't write reviews, but I am starting because of this exceptional experience. John went above and beyond in helping me surprise my mom (and dad) on Mother's Day, who I don't see often, and had no clue I was coming! I am still smiling from the memory of seeing their faces. John is an excellent, friendly, and knowledgable guy. The food is INCREDIBLE, you get to eat a little bit of everything from a succulent burger with a donut bun, to the lightest and tastiest dessert I've had in a very long time. It was worth every penny (and more, honestly). This isn't a "job" to John, and that is such a wonderful quality. We laughed, walked, talked, and ate (a lot). It was just perfect. I could write 10 more paragraphs, but I'll stop here. If you're on the edge, or looking at other Atlanta attractions, choose John and Peachtree Food Tours. I promise you, you'll be so happy that you did.

Nichole, I had shared with my friends your plans to surprise your Mom on Mothers Day, just sort of showing up on my Food Tour which Mom and Dad had booked months ago. That night at a dinner party everybody wanted to know, "Well, What happened?!" My response, "It was perfect! Her Mom was stunned and then carried on as Moms do. Lots of hugs! Lots of excitement!" And then, off we went to a wonderful "family" adventure on Peachtree Street. The real truth is that you being there... to share 4 hours of your time...with your Mom...was the best gift. Quality time together! Amen! Thank you for the fabulous review! You are only a few hours away from my neighborhood so let's do this again! Bring a bunch of your fellow future doctors for a welcome study break...and I'll handle the rest of the fun!! You could even be the guide...and I'll make up the stories as we go!! My best always! I surprised my wife with tickets to the Peachtree Food Tour for our 2 year anniversary, and we had an excellent time! John is a great story teller, and he picked some excellent restaurants/dishes for us to try. I highly recommend trying it out!

Jacob! I love my "Anniversary" tours, particularly when it's a surprise! Sometimes a "surprise" works better as this may be the typical conversation..... He/She: "Honey, How about a Food Tour for our anniversary?" He/She: "A...what?" Yep! Almost 80% of my tour guests have NEVER been on a Food Tour! Yikes! That means He/She has no idea what they're getting into. Relax! Read the reviews! Jacob, Thanks for taking the chance...and for taking a few moments to share your thoughts! My best to you both! John

Here we were, three girls from New York visiting our newly transplanted friend in the Atlanta area. I ALWAYS read reviews before I do or buy something. Thanks to trip advisor (and other travel website reviews) I found Peachtree Food Tours….The rest is now a wonderful part of our friendship history. We had an amazing time with delicious food and drinks. In each restaurant we were treated like royalty and John is the perfect host. I know many other reviews mention how John includes (light) lessons in history and food prep during the tour. I can assure you all the information he provides is both interesting and entertaining. The value is incredible (yes I know you're thinking she's from NY and anything is reasonable compared to New York)…but it really is!!! The bottom line is this..if you are visiting or living in Atlanta make this priority. You will not be sorry!!! Just do it !!!!

Hey J. - Thanks for taking time to share with TA readers what a wonderful time that was had by all. A girl's weekend in Atlanta to visit MJ and check out her new home...but what to do while in Atlanta?? And then you found me on TripAdvisor!! Yahoo! All four of you are "characters" in your own right and my only challenge was to match my stories with what I thought you all would find interesting. (The 'Tastes and Sips" would take care of themselves!) Thankfully, you all weren't into "fact checking" as there is no way of knowing how much of the "history" that I made up. Ha! (And who cares?! We all had a blast!) Next year's gathering of friends?? Charleston, SC would be a terrific location for food and fun...and lovely memories! Really!! My best always! John
