I have been taking food tours all over the country, and John gives by far one of the best tours we have ever done. His knowledge of Peach Tree is incredible! The food, top notch! There was so much food between the stops, we ended up with a doggie bag, and dessert for the next two nights! It was FANTASTIC! Thank you for everything John!!!

Andy, I was delighted to get your note as I often wonder about your proposed Florida "adventure" and how far along you are in the planning. When creating your own Food Tour, there are lots of things to learn from others...and you were a great student! Ha! Thanks for the terrific review! And, as to the "doggie bag", I like to think that my bit of surprise "shopping" at the end is a super way to remind you later what a great time you had on my Tour! When ever "later" is??!! When your Tour gets started (Yahoo!) I'm just a call away. Sweet Jeri and I will jump in the car and would love to be part of your "Test Groups"!! My best always! John

I had such a wonderful time with John. Highly recommend this tour on your first day in Atlanta. The food is to die for! I was stuffed by the end. Be sure to come hungry. John is knowledgeable about the area and will give you tips on what to see/not to see on your visit as well as dining suggestions. He is personable, relaxed and fun. He was kind enough to guide me to free parking at his church. He met me there on the way to meeting the rest of the group. We ran into his beloved wife Jeri, whom he refers to on the tour. She does exist!! :) Overall fantastic tour. John is well traveled, knowledgeable, and fun. The food was incredible. After the tour he provides a list of dining suggestions in the area. Because of this experience, I will make it a priority to take a food tour on day one of my future travels.

M. - Even though I tell all my guests to come hungry, most are "stuffed by the end"! Lots of food! Lots of fun! I'm grinning at the shout out to my lovely wife, sweet Jeri, as plenty of my guests swear that, even though I talk about her on the Tour, she's just part of all the other stories I just make up as we stroll down Peachtree Street. You actually met her!! Very cool... Thanks for the wonderful review! Attention TA readers!!! M. has terrific advice when she recommends that you take a Peachtree Food Tour "on your first day in Atlanta". Let's go eat and drink and then I am always happy to pass along written suggestions for more dining options. It's a big city! Lots of choices! I know you came to town to work...and eat! I'm thinking that per your note that you had a fabulous time....with the eating part at least! My best! John

My husband and I gifted this tour to both sets of our parents for Christmas. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with our family - we learned a great deal about our city (I'm a native Atlantan), and we thoroughly enjoyed sampling the Midtown cuisine. John was an excellent guide - extremely knowledgeable and even more hospitable! He went above and beyond, providing additional recommendations on hotels, attractions, and restaurants alike. I highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with John - It will be very difficult to top this gift next year!

Mary Beth (and Wade!), What a wonderful gift to both of your parents! Lots of great conversations, terrific food, and then the fun of trying to figure out what was true...or which stories I was making up! I will say that your parents had quite a few additions to the history of my neighborhood...which made my Peachtree Food Tour even more fun! And then after the Tour, you six decided to hang out in my neighborhood (at one of my new restaurants!) and share some fellowship over more wine tasting!! Very cool.... Don't be strangers to Midtown! Grab a bunch of your friends and give them your own Food Tour...which would be a whole lot of fun! Thanks for taking the time to share your adventure! My best to you both! John
