This was the first part of our girls' weekend getaway. Every restaurant we stopped at had great food. We definitely did not need dinner that night because we were well fed by the end of the tour. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as there is a lot of walking. I've been recommending this tour to everyone I know including locals I met over the weekend. I'm looking forward to trying other food tours now.

T. - Ha! If I had known you were going to tell all the locals you ran into about your afternoon of food and fun, I should have given you a handful of brochures! That's sweet of you....and "Thank You!" You'll be happy to know that as the weather has warmed up, I have shortened the route a bit so there is not as much walking. It also cut about 30 minutes off the Tour so I'm back down to 4+ hours. Same food! Same fun! Just less time on your feet! For the next girl's weekend, be sure to try out another Food Tour....and trust your TA reviewers. They will steer you right! (Or just come back to Atlanta! We can always do this again!)

John is very knowledgeable about all of the restaurants in the Midtown area of Atlanta. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with all of the other participants and John. We visited several restaurants and were exposed to many southern cuisines and beverages. The fried chicken and wilted greens were excellent and the shrimp and grits were the best I'd ever had! I wish that I had gone on the tour before my last day in the city, so I could have returned to Midtown and some of the restaurants. It was still a wonderful adventure. The foods were delicious and the beverages were fun. The beverages included a drink with bourbon, coke and peanuts as well as a Memphis mule. The desserts and coffees were fabulous as well. John explained some of the history of the area as we walked and pointed out some buildings and places of interest. It was a wonderful outing! I highly recommend doing it when in Atlanta.

M. - To my TA readers, M. has a great piece of advice. When traveling, take a Food Tour very early in your visit. Learn about all the restaurants in that area, the attractions nearby, and, often more importantly, what does your guide suggest for even more fun! There is nothing quite like 3 - 4 hours with a local who truly wants you to enjoy his/her city! Thank you, M., for the sweet review and I suspect you will be back in Atlanta sooner than you may think! Give me a buzz! I have a second Tour option coming soon, perfect for another "wonderful adventure"! My best to you and your family!

Did this last weekend for a best friend weekend getaway. This had to be the best part of our trip. We sampled many restaurants and walked midtown while hearing the history of the area. I couldn't imagine launching our trip in any other way. This is certainly the beginning of many more food tours for me. Thanks John!

Wow! I knew it was a girl-friend weekend! I thought that I heard that there were 19 years of history! But to rate my food adventure on Peachtree....above Spa Day?? Yikes! I gotta think about that! Thank you for the sweet review but, for me, the best part is that when you two get together again, you'll take a Food Tour! Follow the TripAdvisor reviews for the best options....but when those choices doesn't seem to match your "tastes", check out a Cooking Class! My sweet Jeri and I have had a blast learning how to cook a "regional" meal. And we don't cook!! My best to you both!
