I am a teacher on my spring break and decided I would like to do something a little different than relaxing at home. I asked my dad to join me on this tour. We were both excited being the foodies that we are. We are from Georgia and have been to ATL many times, but have never seen midtown like this. Our tour guide John was INCREDIBLE!!! I have never been on a tour where it wasn't all just for show. John was real and down to earth and showed us the midtown we never knew existed!! I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. The price was well worth the trip. Thank you John for giving me a new love for this wonderful city!!!

J.- What I liked best (even more than your great review) was that you invited your Dad along for the adventure! Pretty cool....and some genuine quality time together, walking, tasting, sipping....and, for sure, lots of laughing! Your Dad made the comment that when he drives down Peachtree Street he never notices any of the stops we made, much less those a block off Peachtree! How true! You both really appreciated the adventure (and the food!) and I sure hope to see you all, whole family included, real soon! A birthday gift? I had a great time today on the Peachtree Food Tour and highly recommend it! I'm a "yankee" and learned a ton about eating in the South;) It was a great way to spend the afternoon getting to know the city.

B. - You were the most wonderful (Yankee!) fit among Sunday's group of 6 Southerners....all from either Mississippi, Alabama, or South Carolina.....and all part of my extended family! I'm hoping that you felt the love...and the....well... hate (!)...that we shared during your 4+ hours on Peachtree Street! The gentle needling seemed to never stop....and then when folks were comfortable with you...the needling headed your way! You were a great sport! Booking a food tour with John gets you a robust walking tour of midtown Atlanta restaurants and cuisine, but also access to his extensive knowledge of his neighborhood. Book the tour, then plan the rest of your visit to Atlanta. John made sure my bottomless pit of a teenager had plenty to eat. Ask him about his wife. He's uxorious.

Will, Well.....let me start my response from the bottom of your review! "Uxorious" is one thing I will very quickly agree that I am! Particularly when my sweet Jeri is reading this same review! (OK, TripAdvisor readers! You are just going to have to look up that word! I certainly had to!) Thanks, Will, for the very thoughtful review. :) Yes! I do carry on a bit! Yes! Your future Olympian swimmer was finally full at the end of the Tour! And, yes! I always suggest that folks take a Food Tour early on in the vacation/business stay in any city. One, you get a great overview of the dining options in that neighborhood. But, two, and even more importantly, you get to spend time with a local. That's me! Part of my role as your Tour Guide is to "guide" you to the best that Atlanta has to offer. You can actually trust me for good advice.
