I wish we would have thought to do this earlier in our trip. It is such a great introduction to the area and introduced us to places we would have liked to spend more time. Doing a tour like this in a small group is great. You get a chance to know your tour mates and John. John took great care of us. He learned our names, let my mother borrow a scarf, made sure we were standing in the sun to stay warm when stopping, helped us get to know our tour mates by engaging us all in conversations, offered to provide recommendations throughout our trip, sent trip suggestions in advance... There was so much good food. There was a variety of food and drink making it interesting. I enjoyed it all, even tried things outside of my comfort zone. This was a great way to spend a morning/afternoon. This was my first food tour and now I will seek out similar excursions in different places. **NOTE: If John suggests how to be ready for the tour LISTEN! He predicted the weather would be cooler than we expected and was right (I was cold!). He said to come hungry and he was right (we quickly became full).

Hello TRC!! To folks that are new to Food Tours, this is the most often repeated comment. "I wish we would have thought to do this earlier in our trip.". Actually...if you read through TRC's review, you'll quickly learn why the above statement is so important. Let me help sort through all of the restaurant recommendations that appear online. How about a local's perspective? Oh-h-h....and providing a scarf to a chilly guest...and a Mom...is what makes my foodie adventure be some kind of special. :) Thanks, TRC, for the lovely review!! My best! John

What a great afternoon! John gave us a wonderful “taste” of midtown. Really great food and drinks. I always enjoy a local’s perspective and John is a real local. He knows his neighborhood and is clearly enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and love of the area. I highly recommend this tour!

"I always enjoy a local's perspective..." Thank you, Teresa, for the kind words! I love when my guests refer to the tour as "enthusiastic" as my sweet Jeri and I wouldn't live anywhere else. 50+ restaurants to walk to. Lovely stories about Margaret Mitchell...and George Clooney. And...you're in my Midtown neighborhood where we've lived for the past 20 years. (Yep! You're gonna want to move here!!) TA readers! 50+ restaurants to walk to! I'll show you 5...with 3 lovely cocktails!! Sounds like food and fun to me!! My best! John

This was my second Peachtree Food Tour with John. Other than the burger stop (which is an absolute must!), the other stops were all new. Perfect pairings of food/beverage and lots of historical tidbits thrown in along the way made for a perfect afternoon saunter through Midtown. John's passion and knowledge about food and his neighborhood are evident the minute the tour begins. Whether you're in town for a long weekend or a long-time resident, John's tour is an afternoon well spent. Definitely recommend!

Ha! Princess, Thank you for the lovely review! As you and I shared on the tour, we should continue to do this...every three years! Whether a local...or a visitor...Peachtree Food Tours is a whole lotta food...and fun. Speaking of fun, we all agreed that, while on my tour, that we had never seen cheerleaders at the entrance to a restaurant, encouraging us to come on in and dine. Certainly made for a great photo! My best to you...always! John
