John is a wonderful tour guide who knows the history of his Midtown. He is able to share the history while adding in some humor along the way to keep it fun and interesting. John takes you on a food tour you won't forget. The restaurants he chooses are the perfect mix of food and libations. Being a fellow Atlantan who lived in Midtown for several years I highly recommend this tour for locals as well as visitors. You will be happy you spent the day with John in his Midtown! Our guests loved it just as we did. Thank you John.

Thank You, Kathy! I know that you were amazed at how Midtown has grown...and changed since you lived here. Frankly, when my sweet Jeri and I moved into this urban neighborhood 20 years ago, we had no idea how fantastic our new home would be. 60+ restaurants to walk to!! Our Piedmont Park becoming almost 200 acres of green beauty perfect for strolling, picnics, festivals, and incredible people-watching. The City government even schedules some Sundays when Peachtree Street in Midtown is closed to cars/trucks and has 3 miles of pedestrian/bike/roller blade/stroller fun!! During my tour of foodie fun my guests quickly figure out why Jeri and I wouldn't live anywhere else...in the world! Don't be a stranger! I'll keep an eye out for you and yours...holding that lovely map you ended up with!! My best! John

John is a true professional at this, and has a knack to make sure all of the parties connect on the tour to have fun. That take talent. His knowledge and insight to the area is incredible, even to long life Atlanta natives like us. The restaurant options and choices were really incredible and went well as the tour progressed. Absolutely fabulous time and tour!

TA Readers: When you book a Peachtree Food Tour you can expect to join folks from around the country...sometimes from around the world. So...there's now 6 guests that you have never met. In the first 30 minutes, it's not only my job to share the history of my Midtown Atlanta and get you to the first restaurant (The World's Best Burger!) but I find ways for us to discover how much we all have in common. What are those things/events/experiences that will lead to natural conversations? My goal? As we're leaving the first tasting, everyone is chatting away like they're all old friends. Let's do this foodie adventure...together!! Thanks, GTC, for the terrific review! Yep! We all had an "absolutely fabulous time"! My best! John

Hi Amy! Thanks for the wonderful review! I'll share a funny conversation that occurred just a few moments into my Tour when I asked these two young Southern ladies if they had any food allergies. Their quick response was, "No, Sir!" Me: "Please! Please! You can skip the "Sir" and just call me John." Amy: "No, Sir. I can't do that." Me: "Oh come on! Really! I'm just John." Amy: "No, Sir. My mother raised me that when responding to any adult, I should always end my response with "Yes, Sir" or "No, Sir". You are going to be "Sir" the rest of the tour!" Then she gave me a big grin. :) Gotta love the South!! Gotta love those two young women!! My best always! John
