My husband gave me a food tour for my 30th birthday. John, the guide, was a local who took us to five different stops around Midtown. The tour lasted four hours and included interesting history, delicious food and drinks, and good company! John is the the type of guy that can relate to a wide variety of audiences. He is laid back, while punctual, knowledgeable, and well-prepared. If you haven't ever tried a food tour, I highly recommend this one as unique date or fun outing for friends (without young kids) in Atlanta! Don't look at too many reviews and pictures because the mystery is part of what makes it so exciting! It's great! Go for it!!!🍽🍑

Ah-h-h-h... The mystery! Thank you, Whitney! On my food tours I always try to bring up the fact that some other tours either post their itinerary on their website...or... when you arrive for the tour, actually hand you a list of the restaurants you'll be visiting AND the tastes! Yikes!! For me, the not-knowing what's ahead is half the fun!! I had to grin when I read that John "can relate to wide variety of audiences"! Ha! It was most evident that you two are the same age of my grand-children...but I can be a super Grandpa!! "Delicious food and drinks" is what I'm all about! Whitney, Thanks for taking a moment to write such a lovely review! My best to you both! John

My friend surprised me with the food tour during a weekend trip to Atlanta. I'm the first to admit, I am not at all adventurous (which is why she didn't tell me until the morning of! Lol). However, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour! John is very personable & quite humorous. Having been a long time resident, he has vast knowledge of mid-town Atlanta so his stories are informative. As we were on our walk, several people along the way greeted John by name. He is well known in his community which also makes the tour more fun. The food...AMAZING! We visited 5 locations in a 4 hour time span and each place was great. I won't give out the restaurant names because John likes "the element of surprise" but trust that you won't be disappointed at all! This is coming from someone who generally sticks with chicken & veggies; I rarely try new things. The drink pairings with the food selections were spot on as well. If you are looking for something to do in the Atlanta area, give John a call! He'll take great care of you! I highly recommend!! P.S. Although the tour is 4 hours, it's timed perfectly. Just enough time to walk at your own pace to enjoy the tour.

Ah-h-h-h... Ms. Buckeye Girl. I will not soon forget the look on your face when Ms. S. told you that John was here to give us a Food Tour. A what??!! And then you immediately let me know that you were a picky eater. Hm-m-m-m.... And then you wrote in the review above, "The food...AMAZING!" I am grinning as I write this as I remember the beginning of your tour...and how it ended. I'm thinking that you'd take my Tour again!! ( Well...maybe in different shoes!! ) Still Grinning! John

Peachtree Food Tours is an absolute MUST DO whether you are an out of town guest or a "local" like me. It was my first food tour so I had no expectations! It was a great food tour selection of restaurants, the food and drinks were exceptional, and John made the tour interesting by sharing his historical knowledge of the area and tidbits of information about Peachtree Street. It was a fabulous tour!! Thank you, John!!
