If you are looking for a tour where you taste foods while getting a feel about some restaurants mixed with historical or architectural highlights as you walk, this is NOT your tour. We did taste foods ( cheese curds, fried walleye, custard and sausages) but not within restaurants. Instead we were taken to a series of food markets where we were encouraged to explore and purchase our own things. Each stop was at least 10 minutes of shopping. We were fortunate as our group (4 groups of two) were friendly and made our own fun. However, if your fellow group members were not like ours, that time could get long. There were little tidbits in between stops, but nothing like many tours we have been on. The stop at the secret spy place, the time in the Old German Beer Hall, where we tried the sausages - was fun. It was an interactive time. So if an interactive, create your own fun - shopping opportunity type of tour is your thing , this is for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Mary. It's wonderful that you were able to enjoy the company of your fellow guests and make the most of the experience. We do aim to provide a unique blend of tasting local flavors, learning about Milwaukee’s culinary culture, and giving our guests the opportunity to explore some of the city's best food markets. Our goal is to offer more than just a sit-down meal experience by also encouraging guests to take home some of those special local treats. However, we understand that this format might not suit everyone's preferences, and we're always looking for ways to enhance the food-focused elements of our tours. While we do include opportunities for guests to make purchases if they'd like, we understand that balancing these moments with more guided food tastings is important. We're continuously refining our tours, and your input helps us find that balance. Thanks again for your honest review, and we're glad that despite some of the elements not being quite what you were looking for, you still had a fun time with your group. We hope you'll consider trying another one of our tours, perhaps in a different city, where we focus more on the in-restaurant experiences. Please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns.

I’ve lived in Milwaukee for 38 years. Finally learned a lot more about the city and food. Brought my east and west coast (2 sisters). Thank you, Tom. Great food choices. Great cooperative restaurants. I only ask attendees not block the sidewalks to other pedestrians when listening to any tour guide.
