Moab Rafting Morning Half-Day Trip

Overview
Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Easy breezy fun in the sun on a nice relaxing float down the Colorado River. The bus ride up to the drop-off was a stunningly beautiful part, and all three guides what were with our group would chime in here and there with fun and funny information along the way, like the story of the 2nd worst Denny’s in America right there in Moab. The float down the river was the fun part. Chase was our guide on the boat and she was a great coach on how to do what we needed to do to get down the river safely, and she had a lot of fun information on the landscape, the wildlife, and fun facts about the section of the Colorado River we traversed. It was an easy float downstream, the rapids we went through were very manageable, and that’s exactly what we were looking for. We love the outdoors but adrenaline junkies we are not, so if you’re looking for a thrill this may not be the trip for you, but I am certain that this company has an option. From Mild to Wild, this option was definitely mild, relaxing, sunny and beautiful, from the moment we left the HQ until we got back.

Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable guide. Enjoyed the group we were with - the kids delight through the rapids was infectious.
