Moab Rafting Morning Half-Day Trip

Overview
Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Luke was a terrific guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The jokes on the bus ride kept everyone entertained as well.

I never rafted before. I had heard horror stories (unverified of course) and was perfectly content with keeping my Michigan feet on dry, non-rapid ground. However, when my husband approached me with the opportunity to choose “mild”, I decided to get over my fear and do the damn thing. I’m so beyond glad that I did. Mild to Wild is just a great group of people that want to see you have a successful and FUN trip. Tom, our guide, really won us over. Your safety is his first concern, but he knows how to have a good time. My daughter cannot stop talking about how cool he is and how she wants to go back. Me too for that matter. And I’d even crank it up to like “medium” next time. If you’re reading this and wondering if you should or shouldn’t…. Do. It. I promise you won’t regret it when you book with this particular company! And tell Tom that the Michiganders say hello!

Our family of 4 had an awesome half day trip with Annie G.! She was so fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, and was also so great with our kids (13 and 9) who were nervous and weren’t sure what to expect. Highly recommended and ask for Annie G if possible!
