Modern & More Bike Tours Palm Springs

Overview

This is a small group 3-hour bike tour of 3 architecturally & historically significant neighborhoods in south Palm Springs. Quiet streets, no hills, constant sunshine, & very little traffic make for a great ride for novices or expert cyclists alike. (This is not an athletic tour, fear not!)

We'll explore Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, & Indian Canyons, making frequent stops for photos & to learn details about specific homes & architects.

NOTE: BIKES ARE NOT INCLUDED! Discounted bike rentals at Big Wheel Tours. They have colorful retro cruiser bikes & e-bikes.

[ I've designed this tour for serious architecture & history fans, with academic-level information & detail. So, it may not be the most enjoyable tour for some children. ]

FABULOUS TOUR!! Will definitely be doing this again. Being from SF Bay area, we had a real interest in Mondernism, and found Brenant to be very knowledeable, informative, & personable. We really enjoyed hisiory of modernisim and other forms of architecture in S & Central Palm Springs. His tour of the onald Wexler Clubhouse, Royal Hawaiin Estates, the Canyon Cooridor & Indian Canyon neighborhoods was very well researched & well done! Thanks, Brennan for a wonderful tour!

The guide, Brennan, is very knowledgeable. We saw a lot of interesting homes and learned fun facts and information about the various architects and the celebrities who lived in and built the homes. Seeing them by bike was much better than being confined in a van or being on a bus. Plenty of time to ask questions and get a personal tour of the largest collection of Mid Century Modern in the country.

I thoroughly enjoyed my bike tour of Palm Springs. I learned many fascinating facts about the area and the era when Palms Springs was the height of sophistication for the Hollywood elite. For those who enjoy history and architecture, this tour can't be beat. As an avid cyclist, I also appreciated Brennan's willingness to the structure the tour to match my riding capability. I saw a lot, learned much, and enjoyed the time spent with my tour guide.
