What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

I highly recommend this tour company. Larry was an excellent guide and shared so many stories and information about his Navajo culture, plus he sang a beautiful song in his Navajo language. It was my favorite part of the tour but really I walked away having learnt so much. It was fun going off-roading and Larry pointed out where many movie scenes had taken place plus I got to get up close to several petroglyphs. I like that this company sticks to smaller groups because I saw several others that were crowded together in the back of a truck with the driver speaking through a megaphone. My tour was much more private, personal and comfortable.

From our conversation, our guide knew that we are very interested in different ancient cultures, so he gave us a lot of interesting details. Very knowledgeable. He also played the flute at one of the arches that had beautiful acoustics; felt so sacred. He didn’t use a loudspeaker like some of the tours we passed, so it felt very personal. Beautiful, memorable tour!
