What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

The rock formations were amazing. We loved seeing special features that aren't on the regular route. The biggest value added by Navajo Spirit Tours are the interesting (and funny) stories, unique to each guide, and the enlightening information about Navajo culture that adds context to what you see. We had Will Cowboy for our excellent guide and driver for this tour and the Mystery Valley tour too. We also went on an equally amazing tour to Teardrop Arch with Larson, who was incredibly knowledgeable and awesome. Highly recommend all the tours! The guides really make it worthwhile!

The sites of Monument Valley are just unbelievable! The open air truck was the best way to travel the rough, unpaved terrain, not to mention, enabled us to have access to some roads that you wouldn't have been able to access otherwise. One tip to pass along is to make sure to go to the Welcome Center and not accidentally go to the Visitor Center like I did.........we were fortunate to catch up with the truck, but it was my fault for not reading my email more closely to see Welcome Center (i.e. there's a lot of signs pointing you to Visitor's Center, but very few (or at least I didn't see them in case they were there) for directing you Welcome Center. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and had so many interesting stories and insights about the area, the history, the culture, etc.!!! Highly recommend!
