Firstly, please update where you require passengers to meet you. We went to the View Hotel as instructed on our confirmation emails but no one was around. Finally we decided to ask the front desk, and they said no, it's now outside the Hotel where a 'Tours' sign was. We went there and they asked which tour we'd booked with. When we said Tribal Tours, he then pointed somewhere else we needed to be at. This was confusing and stressful. Turned out we didn't need to stress as we were still the first there. As other passengers were late, the tour then left late, but overall that didn't really matter, we still got the allocated time. We'd already done the 17 mile scenic drive in our own car the day before, so a lot of the places we'd already seen and got photos. The extended back tours were interesting though and worth seeing. It was very hot even though it was an 8:30am tour, not that this is the tour operator's fault, but there was not a lot of shade in the vehicle. Recommend the middle row for this reason. It was advertised that water was included in the tour ticket, yet when my husband asked for some he felt a little chastised as the tour guide said we shouldn't have relied on her having water and should have brought our own, and went on to describe the difficulty of getting ice at MV. That's fine, but don't state on the ticket/advertisement that water is included, of course we would have brought our own if that were the case. We enjoyed when our guide sang some tribal songs. At one of the stops, a couple of guests accidentally walked through mud and it got all over their shoes. The guide told everyone after we got back to the truck that it was mud. Information they could have used earlier! We noticed some other tour trucks had speakers meaning the guide could speak to the passengers whilst driving the truck, whereas ours didn't and she had to speak to us when stopped and we were in the hot sun. If I had have known this I would have booked the other tour (Gouldings).

We loved this tour. Our Navajo guide, Jonathan was exceptional. He taught us many things about the area (the geology, the history, the movie making location and the Native customs). We appreciated that he was aware of and sensitive to the significance of the sites and their importance to the Navajo nation.

Sandrea was a wonderful guide on this amazing tour!! She gave us so much information about Navajo culture from both the past and present. Everyone in my group of five learned something. Sandrea answered all of our questions thouroughly and was just so pleasant to have as a guide. Besides seeing amazing formations and landscapes, as well as Anasazi petroglyphs, we were also able to try delicious fry bread and shop for beautiful jewelry made by Navajo women. The women were also very friendly and explained the symbolism and energy of the items they were selling. Additionally, we were able to go in a hogan to learn more about Navajo lifestyle. I would very HIGHLY recommend this tour!!!ue
