We observe Daylight Savings Time and are on Mountain Standard Time (UT). Please note the one-hour time difference between the Arizona Time Zone and the Navajo Nation Time Zone from mid-March to October.

What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

We meet our customers in front of The View Hotel building, 50 yards west of the Loading Area, where we meet about 15 minutes before your departure.

Monument Valley – Highway 163 Scenic Drive

Experience a breathtaking drive as we depart the Tribal Park and head onto Highway 163 South. Your guide will offer detailed information about the monuments and buttes along the route. The journey to Mystery Valley will take approximately 30 minutes.

Mystery Valley

As we cross the cattle guard and journey past the local family homes, we find ourselves enveloped by ancient ruins and arches left designed by captivating petroglyphs.

Monument Valley – Highway 163 Scenic Drive

Enjoy the scenic drive and ask your guide questions as they continue to narrate the tour.

I will make it simple: Harry Nez Jr was the best guide we have ever had - and we have seen a lot in this life. Being a talented photographer himself, Harry will take you to the best hidden jewels around Monument Valley and help you to find the best compositions for unforgettable photographs. A must if you are interested in photography. Besides that, Harry´s deep knowledge about the Navajo culture and life will offer you the most interesting conversations and learnings. Harry was very kind, supportive and flexible. We took a 2.5hr private tour of the Mystery Valley with Steven. The tour was reasonably priced in comparison with other operators, there are a lot of them in the 'Valley. The scenery was made so much better by our very knowledgeable and nice guide. Steven knew a lot about the area, being Dineh (Navajo) himself, he told us a lot about Dineh culture, history and customs. He was also genuinely interested in other cultures asking us a lot of questions about us and making parallels with Navajo culture. Full mark for the tour. Thanks Steven!
