I wish I could say something more favorable but we were a bit disappointed in our ride. We never went higher than about 400-500 feet (skirting above some hills and looking over a large number of homes/residential areas). It also seemed incredibly "slow". This was our first balloon ride so we were expecting something a bit more exciting. The staff was very competent and friendly and we certainly felt safe; just wish it could have been a bit more scenic and fun.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Hot Air Expeditions, despite our original flight being cancelled. Our original flight was cancelled due to weather because the pilot, and company, do such a great job at insuring the safety of their customers. It looked like a beautiful morning but the pilot said that they saw a storm coming up on their radar, and sure enough a short time later there were high winds and rain. The company was able to get us booked for the very next day, which was excellent because we were leaving later that afternoon. When we did fly our pilot and crew did a great job of explaining the whole process and what the landing would be like, being sure to explain that the higher the winds the more rough of a landing we would have, there isn't anything to be done to change that. Our landing wound up not being too bad, this had a lot to do with the land crew doing an excellent job, jumping on the basket and keeping from tipping and stopping the basket quickly. Or pilot was very present, answering any questions and giving information about ballooning. The champagne toast and breakfast, after landing, was also very good.

Hello, Our pilot and crew's number one concern is safety for all, and the weather often keeps us on our toes. We are thrilled you were able to get rescheduled quickly and had an excellent time! Thank you for your review, and we hope to see you again in the future!

The crew and staff at Hot Air Expeditions were fantastic from start to finish. They made our flight very easy and most importantly safe. Capt Mike "Ye Haw" Drysdale was outstanding!!! Years of experience but made each passenger feel at home in his domain. Such a peaceful experience but full of beauty and a unique perspective up in the air. Recommend Hot Air Expeditions Highly !! We will be back!!
