What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

All hot air balloon tours check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Enjoy stunning views of iconic Camelback Mountain in the heart of the Phoenix Valley. You pilot will share the history of this fascinating city and will point out local wildlife and plant life.

Downtown Phoenix

You will be able to see Downtown Phoenix in the distance as you soar over the valley. As you begin to land, you'll see a table complete with linens and china in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You are greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

Had a great flight today with Capt Tommy..perfect fall Arizona weather....beautiful scenery and great crew...everyone was super polite and nice from Capt to the chase crew...highly recommend you experience a hot air balloon ride at least once in your life....Hot Air Expeditions gave me and my Wife a fantastic memory!!!

I met a woman at a conference that our husbands were attending. She was going to go on a Hot Air Balloon flight by herself. I volunteered to go with her. This was one of the most beautiful and exciting events I have ever experienced. Especially for one who has a fear of heights. Not one moment of fear. The pilot was excellent and full of knowledge. Loved it and would recommend it to everyone. I can't stop talking about the experience!

What a fun time! 5:40am pickup from our hotel and got to see an amazing sunrise while the balloon and basket were being set up. It was fun to watch the balloon inflate and then jumping into the basket. Our Captain, Walter, had a dry sense of humour and was quite knowledgeable. Our crew were an amazing bunch of guys! Floating up and down allowed great views but the fire used to shoot into the balloon was so hot....fire, hot? Yeah but I didn't expect to feel the heat so intensely on our shoulders:/ The picnic lunch and champagne were a nice finish....they even brought a cake for us as we were celebrating our anniversary:) Well worth the money and the early rise time!
