The Scotch Mist is a fun and fast sailing yacht, built in 1982 for racing by famed builder Bill Lee in Santa Cruz, California. In fact, she is the fastest production line sailboat of her size in the world, having won “first in class” in the prestigious Victoria-to-Maui Yacht race, besting her competition by over 24 hours.

Atomizing sprayers are used to disinfect all seating & boat areas & equipment. Sanitizing stations are set up at the booth & on-board the Scotch Mist. As of 3/27/22 Hawaii & Maui County have eliminated masking & social distancing requirements for outdoor activities such as our sailing adventures.

The crew were so accommodating, patient and respectful of the ocean and habitat. It was a lovely morning and although we saw beautiful whales and turtles not so many fish. Would go again in a minute. Thank you Scott and Eric!

This is a must do in Maui! Great snorkeling where we saw lots of sea turtles and tropical fish. Captain Eric and Mate Nate are a great and friendly crew! They were very knowledgeable and informative about the area. An excellent way to spend the morning!

We had a fantastic snorkeling trip with the crew on the Scotch Mist. Nate and Steve were absolutely phenomenal! They were both knowledgeable and very professional! We stopped to whale watch a bit before snorkeling and then headed to our spot. There were only a few boats there which was great. LOTS of turtles and beautiful fish and sharks to explore. The scuba divers were also cool to see below us. When we returned to the boat Steve and Nate were very courteous when we were getting on and off the boat (helping us with our gear and flippers). They always kept a watchful eye when all of us were in the water. During the whole boat ride, we were offered cold refreshments and after returning from snorkeling were provided with a delicious and plentiful lunch with turkey wraps, chips, cookies, and pineapple as well as some breakfast bars. After lunch, we went sailing for the remainder of the time which was awesome. We had a calm wind that day so it was perfect weather for a slow boat ride. There were three in our group on this sailing adventure and we all 100% recommend this crew and would book this again!
