The Scotch Mist is a fun and fast sailing yacht, built in 1982 for racing by famed builder Bill Lee in Santa Cruz, California. In fact, she is the fastest production line sailboat of her size in the world, having won “first in class” in the prestigious Victoria-to-Maui Yacht race, besting her competition by over 24 hours.

Any passenger participating in water activities MUST be a competent swimmer.
Alcoholic beverages may be consumed by a guest only AFTER swimming, snorkeling & in-water activities have been completed by the adult guest.

Guides required to regularly wash hands
Atomizing sprayers are used to disinfect all seating & boat areas & equipment. Sanitizing stations are set up at the booth & on-board the Scotch Mist. As of 3/27/22 Hawaii & Maui County have eliminated masking & social distancing requirements for outdoor activities such as our sailing adventures.

Guides were great snorkeling and fish were not so good. Location and amount of fish were few some turtles. A lot of other boats.

Sorry you only had a fair excursion. Must have been just a poor day--the exception on Maui. Normally there are not a lot of other boats at our snorkel sites, unless the channel was rough and the Lanai boats did not cross and came to the West Maui sites. Please try us again--maybe a 2 hr. Adventure Sail or the unlimited Champagne Sunset Sail--always beautiful on Maui. Don Kidder, General Manager

Our family of 4 went out today for the morning snorkel. It was a great time had by all. Captain Steve and Mate Nate were the best. They were super helpful and informative about Maui history. Great lunch and drinks were provided. Highly recommend!

A short sail to an excellent spot for snorkeling, where we even saw sea turtles in the water with us. This was followed by a leisurely sail under wind power. Included lunch was a bonus. Captain Steve and mate Nate were very helpful and informative. Juice, soft drinks, and beer were freely provided.
