The top five mile section of road to the Summit of Mount Evans is scheduled to be closed for the season on September 7, 2024 at Summit Lake.
The lower section of the road will remain open until October 7, 2024 depending on weather conditions.
Bring a warm jacket and dress in layers.
No children under the age of 7. Private tours are recommended for families with children.
You may experience altitude sickness. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to departure time.
Tour might be cancelled or modified due to the weather or road closures.
No refunds will be issued due to weather or road closures.
Minimum number of 4 passengers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

We will enjoy 40 minutes at the park.

Clear Creek Whitewater Park

Scenic drive through Clear Creek Canyon into the city of Idaho Springs. We will stop for a Photo Opportunity.

Idaho Springs City Hall

We will Stop at the Historic Town of Idaho Springs For lunch.

Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway

We will take the Mount Evans Scenic Byway to the summit

We will reach 14,271 ft in elevation.

Summit Lake Park

We will enjoy 25 minutes at the Lake.

Echo Lake Park

We will stop at the Echo Lake Park, our last bathroom stop before returning to Denver.

This was a great tour and a beautiful place. Loved this trip, before we got to Mt. Evans we made a few stops, one at a beautiful river with great views, we hiked around for a bit and got lucky to see some rafters coming down the river at a pretty good speed. We also stopped at Idaho Springs a really cute village where we had lunch. After lunch we headed up the mountain. The road was a bit scary at times as there are no guardrails and some of the turns are pretty sharp, but our driver and tour guide Ben and his expert driving skills made us all feel comfortable on our way up. The top of Mt. Evans is just beautiful, a bit chilly at around 40 degrees, we had time to explore and take some amazing pictures. We even had a short sleet shower where the clouds completely covered the mountain it was a very cool experience to get engulfed in a cloud that high up. The storm was short and we then headed back down stopping at a beautiful lake. I would definitely recommend this trip and be sure to ask for Ben our amazing tour guide.

This was a full day tour with Hudson as our tour guide. Our group was small (5) and everyone arrived ahead of the scheduled meet up time and we departed right on schedule. The forecast also projected an 85% chance of rain, so Hudson worked us through the tour on a route that insured we saw the beauty of Red Rock and Mount Evans before the rain started. Throughout the day Hudson was engaging and knowledgeable and his commentary added to the natural beauty and awe of the trip. Mount Evans was breathtaking! I would highly recommend this tour and Hudson as a guide.

We had an amazing time on this tour! We were in Denver for 3 days and chose to use our one full day on this out of town excursion. Our guide (Ben) was very knowledgeable and helpful during the tour. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking to see the sights outside of Denver.
