What To Expect

George Washington's Mount Vernon

Tourists will have the opportunity to spend their time at the estate, the mansion, former Slave quarters, the Slave Museum, the Education Center, the Stables and Washington's burial site. Afterwards you will be able to commemorate your trip by visiting the restaurant and gift shop located on the estate.

Here you will view a biographical film about George Washington as a young officer during the Revolutionary War. This film takes place at the time when he was a General-to-be and later, the President of the United States.

Was supposed to hacmve the half day tour at 11am instead they gave us the 2.5 hr tour at 2pm. Needed more time.

Bobby our tour guide was very friendly and entertaining during the long ride to the mansion It was a very hot day which made walking the grounds difficult

My husband and I spent $200 on tickets to tour MT Vernon. It’s $60 to buy them on the website or there. It’s not what I thought it was. They just give you a ride and you walk around on your own. I could have ubered from my hotel for $25. Do yourself a favor and Uber yourself and buy tickets at MT Vernon and save yourself $70-$80.
