Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

My family had a fantastic experience today mushing dogs and the staff were very gracious and accommodating to my girls (4 years and 6 years old).

The whole experience was great. Booking the reservation was painless and they were very accommodating. We were picked up in town and driven out to their facility. They were friendly and welcoming, as well as very patient and kind. They provided gloves and rain boots to help with driving and not getting too muddy. Driving the sleds was a unique experience and it was impressive how the dogs were ready to run. The crew answered all our questions and didn't make use feel rushed or an inconvenience. We were able to meet many of the dogs and even got to play with the puppies. We would highly recommend this group to anyone wanting to learn about the dog sled/mushing experience.

We had such a fantastic day! The team was super friendly and helpful in providing us instructions on how to mush the dogs. The trail was SO much fun. Doggos were the sweetest and happiest, and the team gave us ample time to play and say hi to a bunch of their sled dogs. We also got plenty of puppy time to play with the young ones. The pictures came out fantastic, and we left feeling so happy after all the doggie kisses. Definitely recommending to everyone back home!
