Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

The dogs are the stars! Mushing in fall is so great, I think the dogs have so much excitement knowing that winter is on it's way.

Loved the entire experience! Meeting the beautiful huskies and puppies was so much fun, and the actual trail ride through the birch and outback was so beautiful. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!

Wow. Trip to Alaska with anchorage, seward, glacier landing, kenai fjord, denali park, ... and this was our favorite. Not only do they allow you to mush, you get 1-on-1 personalized experience. Our host was ididarod rookie-of-the-year (he forgot to mention) and comprehensive, informative and humble. The entire stay was enjoyable and we experienced just how hard working, honest and earnest these mushers are. Would recommend to anyone.
