Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This trip was amazing! I would highly recommended for families, couples, or solos (like myself). You get a intimate look inside the world of dog mushing. The actual dog sledding is super cool and you can mush your own sled (with the help of an experienced musher). I got to meet 3 cute puppies and had insightful conversations with our musher, camp aids, and helicopter pilot! Definitely tip your pilot, they know so much about the surrounding glaciers and can answer all of your questions! If you go on this adventure, I hope you mush with Courtney! She is an amazing musher with so much knowledge. Her story of how she found herself involved in the mushing world is so moving! Good luck Courtney on your last qualifying race before Iditarod 2023!!!

What a great afternoon we had. Loved getting up close with the dogs and a chance to get a ride on the trail. We didn't fully appreciate Dallas' achievements until after we had left and read up on all the wins and visited the Iditarod museum in Wasilla. Now we feel honored to have been at the kennels and with the pups. Thanks for the amazing day. Kudos to the team and to Dallas on the great tour and great team.

Thank you. Chad is great, we are lucky to have him on the team! Puppy snuggles are the best.
