Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

What a wonderful and unique experience. Dallas Peavey’s (Multiple Iditarod winner) team did a great job showing us the life of a dog musher. Chad Stoddard (Rookie of the Year 2021) showed us around and took us dry land mushing with four dogs. His personal experience and relationship with the dogs was really great to see and hear about. A “Must Do” with these great folks, when in Alaska!
