Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

My husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our tour of AK Led Dog tours. We learned so much about sledding dogs life. My husband is wheelchair bound and Dallas had a chair attached to the sled. And Jesse was an awesome tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour to ALL......

One of the most fun and memorable parts of my Alaska trip was going to Iditarod Champion, Dallas Seavey’s place and going mushing with our guide, Lettie, and I my two daughters; then we got to hold the six-day old puppies. After that, we had a good time petting and loving on the other sled dogs. I’m 85 years old, and I would go again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this!
