Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview
This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

This experience was hands down one of the best things that we have done on our Alaska trip. Chad and Anja were both friendly and happily answered any of our questions. It is easy to see that everyone who works here loves their job and the dogs. The dog mushing was terrific! We had so much fun and absolutely loved it. We also loved that we got to meet the three month old and three week old puppies. They are simply some of the cutest dogs weā€™ve ever seen. We definitely recommend coming here. If we ever return to Alaska again, you can be sure that we will be making another visit here! Side note: If you are coming here in the summer be sure to bring rain pants and jackets since there are many puddles on the path. We were certainly grateful for the rain gear that we wore.

We had a great time learning about sled dog training and racing in the Iditarod. Chad was a great guide. We got to experience dry land mushing and met some Alaskan Husky puppies as well as one of the Iditarod champion dogs (Prospect). Highly recommend!
