Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour

Overview
Take a half-hour ride south of Myrtle Beach on a climate-controlled trolley to the fishing community of Murrells Inlet, SC, and beyond. Hear the quintessential ghost stories that locals have grown up with, background on the pirates who were said to have frequented the local shores 300 years ago, and historical commentary on the influential families who lived in the area and helped shape our nation's history. Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to share the stories with you. By the way, the portrait I hope to see in Camas is of Alice, but I bet you already guessed that.

I am so glad that you enjoyed it! I love sharing these stories. You're right. You can easily spend a day at the wonderful Pawleys Island Hammock Shops with their unique shopping, dining, and lovely location where they welcome you and your pets to even just walk around and relax. We pack a lot into the two-hour trolley ride when we take guests a 1/2-hour south of The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Our three brief stops serve as merely an introduction to the places that have been dear to me all of my life. I do hope you and the others will be able to return to that area and spend the time all of those places deserve. It was a pleasure to have your group aboard and I hope you can join us in the future on our other three tours.

This tour infers that you will be seeing Brookgreen Gardens, the Litchfield Plantation and other attractions, but you only drive by. You get off at the Brookgreen Gardens' ticket office, the marsh and at the Pawley's Island Hammock shops, although they didn't give anyone the amount of time to buy one if they wanted. This needs to be a 3-4 hour tour. Very disappointed. Would not recommend, although the docent was knowledgeable and local.

The three brief stops are explicitly listed on Viator/Tripadvisor describing exactly what they are and exactly how briefly we will be at each. That is why this two-hour tour, in addition to all of the folklore and history it imparts, serves as an introduction to the wonderful part of the world that we visit which I have loved since childhood. I encourage everyone to come back to the region again and again as it would take days to do it justice. But, if you only have two hours, you get a full experience during your trolley ride from The Market Common in Myrtle Beach down to Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island and back. I am so sorry that you were disappointed from before you even boarded the trolley. We recommend that everyone arrive by 9:45, so that they may choose the seats that they would prefer. There are fewer options when you are the last to arrive for this popular tour. Your fellow passengers told me multiple times throughout the tour how much they enjoyed the stories. I wish that same enjoyment could have been yours.
