My nephew and I took this tour to today and absolutely enjoyed listening to the narrator give information about the ghosts and pirates. Purpose of the tour is to interest you on things to do and see and it was great. The few short stops serve to want to return and see the places at your leisure. Totally worked for us so much so we want to return. Kathryn is awesome, informative and fun to listen to.

Boring. Our tour guide did a great job but the tour was disappointing. A RIDE around Murrells Inlet! Try listening to guide and look at area is hard to do. A quick turn around at the Gardens entrance and look down a street at a Plantation that you can't see. Watch a Hamrick being made was also disappointing. Here's friendly but didn't see much on how it was made. There were 6 of us and we all feel the same way.

Oh, ladies, I am so sorry that you were disappointed. You were such a nice bunch to have aboard. I hope the rest of your visit will be as much fun as you are. For anyone else reading this review, let me spell out what you are getting when you take this tour. If you want to hear the quintessential ghost stories that locals have grown up with, background on the pirates who were said to have frequented this area three hundred years ago, and historical commentary on the influential families who once had homes in the area, then this tour is for you. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet one of the area's most noteworthy artisans who has been demonstrating the rare art of hammock-making for thirty years. There's a lot of information packed into the two hours that it takes to get from Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet and back. The tour serves as an introduction to the highlights of what that part of our region has to offer so that guests can choose what they want to visit when they have ample time to do it.

A thorough introduction to the area. Was very helpful to learn about the families and gossip before going to Atalaya Castle. And a great way to travel around the area getting to hear about the ghosts and pirates that are some of the local stories.
