We had a very comfortable ride on the coach bus from Myrtle Beach to Charleston. We loved the city historic carriage ride and our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We had more than enough time at the market before we got back on the bus for the harbor tour where we had a really nice boxed deli lunch waiting for us. Our favorite part of the trip was the Boone Hall plantation tour but we just wished that we had more time at this stop to see more of the plantation. We did get the guided tour of the home and a wagon ride around the beautiful property but because we had such a short amount of time, we were unable to see the slave cabins or other buildings on the property so we were a little disappointed with our time restraints on this stop.

This trip was wonderful! The bus was clean and comfortable. The driver was professional, polite, and welcoming. The bus has a restroom which makes a 2 hour trip easier. Stop 1: carriage tour. They arrived promptly and loaded quickly. Please be prepared to split up large groups! The carriage rides are booked on total numbers. They do not know that the 11 if you are together! Charleston by carriage is intimate and relaxing! We did get rained on, but that was ok. Stop 2: market: a variety of vendors,some touristy,some artisan. Watch your time! More to do! Stop 3: Harbor tour: Boat crew was welcoming. Lunch available on arrival. Just wait till you get under the bridge and they blow the horn!! So much fun. Stop 4: Boone Hall: the highlight of this plantation is Slave row, the slave history tour, and the Gullah woman presentation, which we did not have enough time for the whole presentation. Then a relaxing trip back to the mall and your car! Bring extra food, a jacket, or rain poncho. Leave them on the bus if not needed. Look for discount codes in local coupon books and save a little.

Great trip overall. I wish the carriage was on time. We lost 25 min when the carriage was late. This reduced our time in the market. Boat captain was great!!!
