When i originally booked the tour, i clicked the wrong link. I booked through a company that only does personal group tours. The guy called me back when he noticed it was only one person and assisted me with booking this tour. That was great and so nice of him! The check in process was smooth. Be sure to sign your waiver before getting to the bus to expedite your check-in. I also grabbed a quick breakfast to bring with me since the tour leaves out so early in the morning. Many others did the same thing. Eating on the bus was permitted. For the most part, there was social distancing on the bus, although there were far more people than I expected to see on this tour. The guide Antonio was awesome and you can tell he loves his job. He even offered to take pictures for solo travelers and groups, so everyone could be in their own pictures. From start to finish, the tour was informative, fast paced, and we enjoyed wine from a few different wineries. In my opinion, the last stop was the best because the host was generous with the wine samples. The other stops were not so generous with the samples and it was clear that selling bottles or memberships were their main objectives. No pressure to buy from any of the wineries, but more of an unwelcoming feel unless you were signing up. The lunch stop in Downtown Sonoma was great! Its an adorable and quaint town. I ate at the highly recommended Mexican restaurant, but coming from Texas, I was not impressed with the food. All in all, I would definitely take this tour again, mainly for the scenery and to socialize with other wine lovers.
