Michael & I had a wine-stastic time in the vines of Napa and Sonoma! Made 52 new friends from all over the world and tasted some of the best wine on Earth. If you have a weekend, you’ll be glad you spent your Saturday day-drinking Syrah to Zinfandels.

My wife and I enjoyed everything about the trip itself and the price was worth it. Our only concern was how unclear it was on the parking and hotel pickup. No one with Grayline could tell us what hotel they picked up from which was a nightmare trying to find parking in downtown San Francisco.

This is a must-do tour. You get the benefit of visiting the wineries and tasting the wines without the hassle of driving. Our driver Danilo, was very friendly and personable. The hosts at each winery were great. We tasted 4 wines at the first stop, Viansa, and had the opportunity to taste some of the grapes. We then went on to Roche—wonderful! The uncorked Chardonnay and dessert wines were my favorites. My husband bought the Syrah. Then on to lunch in Sonoma Square. We went to Mi Casa—very good Mexican food. Then on to Napa, where we visited Madonna Estate winery—no affiliation with the singer. On our way back, Danilo stopped at the Golden Gate for a few minutes so we could take pictures. Then he returned us to the Union Square pick-up location. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was the parking situation. The tour did not pick up at our hotel, so we had to go to the Gray Line office. Morning traffic in downtown San Francisco is an absolute nightmare! And we had to call the office to figure out where to park, since that was not made clear when we booked. Luckily we found a garage around the corner and received the “early bird” rate. I highly recommend this tour—just allow a lot of time to get to Union Square if necessary!
