Our tour guide Thomas was fantastic. We were expecting a bus ride but what we got was a narrated tour from a man who is well-versed in all things California! He steered us to the best restaurants in Sonoma and knows the history of the wineries and their families. He was an excellent driver, both in the confines of San Francisco and the wine country. The boutique wineries were fun, unique, and offered an experience you would not get at the larger wineries. B.R. Cohn and Roche were our favorites. Really enjoyed the private barrel tasting from Jonathan at Roche!

Lovely tour! The bus was clean, air conditioned and very comfortable. Pick up and drop off easy (even though no hotel pock up). First winery in Sonoma valley was Roache and the - guide gave very detailed information re process from grapes on vine to actual wine formation and the tour was very comprehensive. We were able to see the vats in which fermentation occurs then the barrels for wine storage / aging. And we’re given 4wines to taste. Second winery in Napa valley was OK…..but too commercial with focus on selling wine to us tourists. We drove back to Sonoma valley for lunch break and had great Mexican food. There were many restaurants, shops, ice cream store etc but did not have enough time to explore all. Third winery; B#C, was very picturesque and also made and sold olive oils which I liked since I cook. The former owner of this winery was the manager for Doobey Brothers band for 40 years. I am a non alcohol drinker so cannot comment on the wines themselves. Suffice to say that I did taste a few of the wines and actually found a sweet wine (at first winery) which was pleasant to my palate. I did this tour because my daughter wanted it and it was worth the $145 that we each paid.

the beginning was not good as we were directed to a pickup site that did not have any indication that it was a Bray Bus pick up. After calling the tour bus and learning that the pickup was in front of a bicycle shop, we were told that there was a coffee shop across the street. There was a small "cafe" across the street but they did not have any coffee. then the bus was twenty minutes late. After that everything was very good, the bus driver was very informative, the stops were very good, lunch in the Sonoma Plaza was enjoyable, our return trip was also good. We meet several new friends.
