This is a full day tour- we were picked up at 10:30am and dropped off at 6:30pm. We visited 4 wineries: Black Stallion- this was the first stop and the best stop, as rated by everyone in my group. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, and we enjoyed every wine they poured. Rutherford Ranch- our group enjoyed the ambiance of this stop because we sat together family style, and the chocolate pairings were a fun twist. Unfortunately, we didn’t care for any of the wines offered here. The grounds were beautiful and our guide served a lovely picnic lunch here. Madonna- this was our least favorite stop. The shop itself is kind of run down. There were spider webs everywhere. The wine was ok, but nowhere near as good as Black Stallion. Kieu Hoang-I might have the name spelled wrong. The ambiance and service here was great. We had our tasting sitting on their lovely wrap-around porch. The wine here was really good and we purchased some. Overall, we had fun. I would suggest that the tour consider a location other than Madonna. It seemed to be the weak link.

We booked a private tour from San Fran for 4 of us very last minute (the evening before). It’s a slightly more expensive way to do napa valley but well worth it. Our driver Doug arrived early well presented with a lovely car. We were in complete control of our day and he helped with suggestions and calling ahead to places as we didn’t make any reservations. We visited V.Sattui, Luna and Artesa wineries. All very different all amazing! It was the only company we found that have driver gratuity, taxes and all charges included in the price. So no worries needed there. I would highly recommend them! On dougs suggestion instead of returning to San Fran we got dropped in a nearby town and took a lovely ferry ride back in.

We had a great time with our driver, Zidan. He took us to a nice variety of wineries, something for everyone! The limo van was very comfortable, and the complimentary water was much needed after a day in the sun drinking wine!
