What To Expect

Old Savannah Tours

Trolleys operate on a 20-minute pickup schedule from 9:00am to 4:30pm for your convenience. Find a seat and begin your 1.5-hour tour of the history of Savannah. Listen to your guide recount more than 270 years of American history. Enjoy the narration as you ride through one of the largest National Urban Historic Landmarked Districts in the United States. Ride on cobblestone streets and in the shade of moss-draped oaks. See stately mansions, beautiful squares, and romantic views of the river. Jamie was our driver she was great! We had three generations , Grandparents, two tween kids and myself. The Character actors at a few stops were what made it a 5.....we just wish there were more than 3. Jamie our driver was relatable to both my parents and kids, we liked that she was not scripted. She had a pleasant way of talking to her riders and those that walked by the trolley. We loved her stories about he whole city! Thanks Jamie, and thanks Old Savannah tours!

Our good experience began with a shuttle pick up from our lodging. We loved our driver/host, Julie, who has lived here all her life and is a 6th generation native to Savannah. We also loved the costumed "Historical Reenactors" who boarded the trolley at various points to convey parts of the local history.

This was the best way to see Savannah quickly. We only had about 2-1/2 hours to see Savannah so we decided to take this overview tour. Our tour guide was nice, knowledgeable and funny. He gave us a great history of the place that was full of interesting facts. The tour lasted about 1-1/2 hours and it was perfect. We could have never seen all of this on our own in so little time. I highly recommend. (You also have the option of taking a longer "off-on" tour with this company if you have more time.)
