Booked this as we planned to do the Johnson Space Centre and the Tour Bus anyway. It’s a great value for money combo. Just a short walk from our downtown hotel the tour starts off at the Houston Visitors Centre (a central location in Houston). The visitors centre is a great place to get information on many tours they do and the staff are great. The city tour bus is a great first thing to do when you are in Houston. It gives you an overview of everything the city has to offer. The bus driver is the tour guide and he was fantastic. Lots of information and if anyone had any questions he was happy to answer them! The tour lasts around 1 1/2 hours. After the tour the next stop is the Johnson Space Centre. There is a small minibus which shuttles you to the visitors centre. You are given your entrance ticket on the way. The shuttle drops you off at the door at 12.30pm and picks you up later around 4.30pm (the shuttle takes other people down to Galveston). My only issue with the tour is how late it starts, 10am, meaning by the time you get to Johnson Space Centre you don’t have much time to explore. There isn’t much to explore in Johnson Space Centre but if you get caught up in the tram queue you may not have time to do the rest. We were lucky as we went low season and during the week were kids are at school. All in all, a good trip.

My experience was really great, the city tour gave a good overview of the city if you hadn’t been there before but the NASA space Center was absolutely amazing. It was much better than I thought with lots to look at and very interactive. I would highly recommend this tour.
