Our guide, Antonio, was great company! Friendly, helpful, funny, and informative. He gave us a great city tour of Houston. I enjoyed the architecture, history, cultural insights, murals, and more.
It was beautiful weather, and we rode quite comfortably on the top deck of the bus.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites hotel about a block away, which would have been easy walking distance to the tour starting point. Since we had a rental car, we found decent parking in the lot adjacent to the small coffee shop where the tour started. We paid for the parking using the QR code on the sign, about $12 for the day.
The space center was crowded. It was the day before the 2024 solar eclipse. Only one tram tour was running - The Rocket Park. I wanted to see the training center but did not get to do that. The space shuttle was interesting.
We got lunch there. Our food was tasty, fresh, and healthy. It was stated clearly in the tour info that lunch was not included.
After the van ride back to the tour starting point, the small shop where we started was closed, so be warned - no bathroom access. If that is important to you, use the bathrooms at the space center before departing.
