When my family came to town, we drove down to NASA. I was skeptical, worried it might be kind of hokey. I was wrong! We did have to wait in line for a while before we could go on the tram tour, but it was amazing. If you don’t go on the tram tour, you have wasted your money and your time. If you get in line around lunch time or first thing in the morning, you won’t have to wait long. The tour is educational and fun. The guides are funny, and in the museum, the exhibits are well thought out and enjoyable. We would go back.

Went on a weekday and took the 90 minutes tram tour. As an adult visitor this is the way to go. The hall you enter into has two theaters that show movies and activities for kids. On the tram tour you get to see Mission Control (you probably have to be a certain age to appreciate this) in the Chris Craft building, and a mock up building showing you full size models of all space craft. The thing we enjoyed most was a full size model of an Apollo rocket in Rocket Park. (Make sure to visit inside the building) It give you a great idea of the scale of a rocket at take off. We also toured the space shuttle. A weekday visit is a necessity as I cannot imagine the crowds on weekends!!

We must have gone at the peak moment. Saturday right around 12:00 pm. We immediately bee-lined for the tram tour and were told it had a 90 minute wait. we ended up waiting about 105 minutes (almost 2 hours!!). the staff and tour setup was highly inefficient - no reason why the wait needed to be nearly that long nor have a few hundred people stand outside on what was a cold, windy day. they could learn a lot about managing customers from the professionals at Disney. felt like i was in the middle of a major cattle call with no regard or concern from any of the indifferent staff
