You will either be transported by our coach bus or 15 passenger van depending on the size of group

What To Expect

Tennessee Whiskey Tours

This Jack and Back tour picks up near the 5th Avenue Korean Veterans Blvd intersection in downtown Nashville at 9:00am. Your guide will have a cooler on board stocked with ice and water. Feel free to bring your adult beverages of choice. The group will depart promptly at 9:10am for the 1.5 hour trip to Lynchburgh, TN. The trip is approximately one third on the interstate and the other part takes you through the small town of Shelbyville, a town famous for the Tennessee Walking Horse. After strolling through Shelbyville, the remaining thirty minute commute takes you through picturesque rolling hills and farms into Moore County, only one of three counties where distilling was legal in Tennessee until just a few years ago. Upon arriving at Jack Daniel's distillery, you'll disembark the bus and your guide get you checked-in to the distillery. The tasting tour runs approximately 1.5-hours. You'll have about an hour and a half to peruse the small square of downtown Lynchburg. Don't forget to grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the square (at own expense). Before you leave, take the opportunity to visit the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and purchase some rare and Tennessee-only bottles of Jack Daniel's or check out the selection of branded Jack items at the downtown general store. This tour will depart Lynchburg at 2:30pm and drop off at the starting point at approximately 4:00pm.

Jack Daniel's Distillery

Upon arriving at Jack Daniel's distillery, you'll disembark the bus and your guide get you checked-in to the distillery. The tasting tour runs approximately 1.5-hours.

Lynchburg Hardware and General Store

Before you leave, take the opportunity to visit the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and purchase some rare and Tennessee-only bottles of Jack Daniel's or check out the selection of branded Jack items at the downtown general store.

This tour gives you a great appreciation for the people behind the biggest whiskey brand in the world and the history that brought it to life. The tasting is a small part of the experience, but by the time you get to it you love it all the more because of what you've learned. The most disappointing part of the day was in the town square at Barrelhouse BBQ (not connected to the tour), where despite being aware of big tour buses coming into town we received terrible service when waiting to get lunch in time to be back on the bus. We were seated, but then ignored for 25mins, and when we asked to make our order the waitress said she'd come to us next, but then served another queue of people waiting to pay, and then two waitresses got into an argument in front of us about whose responsibility it was to serve us. I chose to leave the venue and spend my money elsewhere. So make sure you plan your lunch break around possible slow service so you don't miss the return bus out.

This was a truly great tour. I learned so much about Jack Daniel’s but not only JD, also Tennessee. Tom, our driver, is an absolute gem. The knowledge he has is great! I took my son and he absolutely loved it too!! Thanks for a great memory!

Great experience. Recommended day trip. Our driver was very good (don’t recall his name but army vet and firefighter), great sense of humor and just enough informative history. Amanda our tour guide was very good as well. Good job and knew the distillery very well.
