Our trip to Memphis was so disappointing. All that happened is to long to list here, but in a nut shell, we ended up leaving and hour and a half late mostly because we had trouble finding two people we were supposed to pick up....even after several trips to try to find them which meant going from downtown all the way back to the Opryland hotel. We arrived an hour and a half late to Graceland. The bus driver extended our time, but because there was such a large crowd, it took forever just to get through the house. We never did get to see the gardens and burial site or the planes... and basically ran through the exhibits of clothes, mementos, cars and motorcycles. I was hoping to at least buy a tee shirt, but there was no time for that either. We found out at dinner that many other couples were very disappointed, too. As like us, this was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime. :- I requested a refund for 350 for 2. They agreed to one refund of 175 but said Given that you did participate in the tour, we are unable to grant your request for a full refund. What?? We were a captive audience and COULD NOT LEAVE the tour, and it was not our fault we ran late!! If I had this to do over again, I would not go on this tour, but drive myself as there would have been no deadlines and more time. Such a disappointing day...and to think this visit to Graceland was the real reason we came in the first place.
The driver/guide was great. She did an excellent job. We really enjoyed the day.
