National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Fascinating history of America's greatest sports car and some beautiful cars on display. I was especially intrigued by the sinkhole exhibit. Several years ago, the main showroom collapsed, pulling some of the cars into the sinkhole beneath. Some of the cars were saved, but some were unsalvageable. Interesting to see all of the different types of corvettes that have been made through the years. We were not able to do the factory tour, as it was not open to the public at the time we visited. They also had a virtual simulator, which we did not do. It was a fun museum - would definitely visit again.
