National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

A bit expensive for what is there. If you like cars it is worth the time to visit once. This was my second time and I doubt I will go again. The history is interesting and they have some cool cars but none you can sit in or look at close enough.

Even if you don't own a Corvette or care that much about cars, this museum still is very engaging. Best of all is the videos and information about the sink hole. They show you the recovery of each car and explain what happened to it. When we were there, one of the cars that was too damaged to feasibly repair was on display. There's also a ton of information about the development of the Corvette. The social and economic influences are fascinating, even if the technical info about the car is not enough to grab you. They also have a great activity area for kids. The staff was terrific -- accommodating and helpful.
