What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

There are Several models to see. They had a special exhibit to explain the damage done by a sink hole. There was a movie to start, but it included commercials. You can pay to race a Corvette on a track if you are rich. I spent about an hour there. They had free parking.

The display of Corvettes and Corvette powered sports carsas well as the historic vehicles as top notch. The concepts were beautiful. The display of the sinkhole damaged cars was a fitting tribute.

Had a great time here. Of course, all the cars are amazing, from the first ones made right up to the amazing very latest model. We were there on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. Really amazing job they did on the cave-in and the cars that were damaged or totally destroyed. Good gift shop. Everyone was very friendly. Plan on at least 2 or 3 hours here, maybe more depending on your interest in Corvettes. Definitely worth it!
