National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

I enjoyed this. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for 2 things. 1) too crowded on Saturday for 6' social distancing during the pandemic...at least everyone had masks. 2) old guy taking pictures was was overtly pushy when we politely declined. Otherwise the exhibits and history were great.

Excellent, tremendous number of cars, well laid-out and organization was excellent. Staff are helpful and supremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend for car aficionados as well as those generally NOT terribly into cars (like me). Truly amazing history for a car, and the museum itself went through a traumatic experience of a sinkhole swallowing up the center of the main display dome, along with a bunch of irreplaceable, priceless cars. The resulting display of the damaged cars with a view down to the sinkhole makes it more interesting. What a great trip.

I drove almost 12 hours from Washington, DC through the snow specifically to see the Ed "Big Daddy" hot rod Roth exhibit and it was well worth the trip. The displays were very well done. Seeing the current Corvette exhibit was icing on the cake and I admit to being a lifelong Corvette fan. I arrived on site at 9am and did not leave until 3:30pm but I am somewhat obsessive about reading the text or watching the video at all of the exhibits. I do wish they would turn down the volume on some of the displays, especially those that repeat with a video game intensity. Other museums are able to contain the sound to the immediate area of the exhibit. Very friendly staff who were all masked and maintaining a proper social distance. I look forward to returning next year with friends when tours of the assembly plant are available and the museum cafe is open.
