National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

I'm not a car person, but my boys are, so we decided to go to the museum. I found the history of the sink hole and the entombed vette pretty interesting. I also decided I love the stingrays-all model years. :) The cost for us was a bit pricey, for enthusiasts it may be worth it. The best part was actually that a Corvette owner in the parking lot called my boys over and let them sit in her car. That was the highlight of their day.

Enjoyed the new cars on display which were being picked up by their new owners. The museum costs depend on age and occupation(active military, etc.) Plan to pay at least $10 each to go in. I liked the corvettes through the ages displays....well thought out and a trip through time. The sinkhole which occurred in 2014 has been filled in with a detailed accounts if you want to see them. They have a corvette cafe which needs to open back up full time, so hard to see it with yellow tape over most of it. Lovely gift store and I really enjoyed "Rat Fink" and his cars and memories. A great two hours of learning especially if you love cars and corvettes. The corvette assembly plant is not reopening until 14 Oct. 2020 for tours.

The best part of the whole tour was to be able to watch new owners take possession of their brand new Corvette! The tour was amazing also. I will be back several times to see updates and of course new owners getting their car. Thanks for a truly awesome time from a fellow gearhead!
