What To Expect

National Corvette Museum

The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car. Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum. As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership. You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs. Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes. The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items. An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Interesting museum, the cars are beautiful and the displays of the exhibits are really done well, but a lot of their computer games didn't work and some of their kids challenges were missing parts. They need to add more challenging things for kids and adults, plus it would be nice to have one car that the adults or older kids could sit in without paying $10 to "drive". That said for the most part it's good and the room with the former sinkhole is really interesting, the cars are beautiful, except the ones that couldn't be restored, those are really sad but you gotta see what happened to them.

My husband wanted to take this museum in on our trip from Michigan as he's a car buff and owns a classic car. Enjoyed seeing all the corvettes as well as the sink hole and the cars they salvaged. Was reasonable entry fee. Would recommend stopping if you like cars.

Awesome exhibits but what is so amazing is how friendly everyone is there that works there. I was amazed at how helpful everyone was. We also ate there and the food was good and reasonably priced. Go hungry because your tickets are timed and a meal there was the perfect waiting interval.
