National Corvette Museum
The National Corvette Museum is a showcase to America's sports car.  Start your tour with a short film about the history of the Corvette and the Corvette Museum.  As you walk though the museum you'll see exhibits featuring over 70 Corvettes in periodic settings including a mid-century barbershop, service station and dealership.  You'll see Corvette prototypes, one-of-kind cars, and racing champs.  Enjoy hands-on activities in KidZone , trivia kiosks, and the "Corvette Cave In” exhibit.  This exhibit takes visitors back to the early morning hours of February 12, 2014 when the earth opened up inside the Museum’s Skydome, swallowing the classic Corvettes.  The Museum's Skydome offers a glimpse of the size and depth of the sinkhole as well as the retrieved Corvettes. Guests are also invited to try a Corvette on for size in the lobby. The Corvette Store offers apparel, collectibles, home and gift items.  An on-site 50's-inspired Corvette Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.

We were traveling with another couple who had never visited the Corvette Museum, so we went again with them. It was quite interesting seeing the sink hole that had occurred since our last visit. They did a really good job of showing where it occurred & also displaying most of the vehicles that were destroyed. We had lunch in the café there and it was quite good. If you want water to drink, you can ask for a cup rather than having to purchase a bottle of water. I had the wrap which was quite generous. The cars in the museum are really cool.

Being up in Owensboro KY, Blowing Green was just a beautiful drive on the back roads down to see the Corvette Museum. Both hubby and I owned corvettes, he a red 1986 and me a 2003 40th Limited Addition. The media news on the sinkhole is no comparison to actually seeing the destruction of those beautiful cars. On the sinkhole exhibit on top of the crushed corvettes sits a 2003 40th Limited Addition, badly damaged but not crushed. On the other side of the museum sits a 1986 Yellow corvette that wasn't in the sinkhole zone. Enjoyed.
