Class III/IV rapids provide excitement and a trip you will never forget. Amazing scenery, high adventure, no experience required, trips run March through October each year. Day trips meet at 9 AM and include a riverside catered lunch break at the halfway point. Short on time? Try the Afternoon Express run, meeting 3 PM daily.

The Family had a great time rafting. The recent heavy rain made for a fast-paced ride. The West Virginia Adventures ensured we were prepared regarding safety on the rapids. I would recommend them.

Our family of 8 (ages 12-70) really enjoyed our express trip on the New River - it was the most talked-about activity of our whole vacation. Most in our group had been on some sort of rafting or float trip before but none of us had paddled through class IV and V rapids. The company was extremely accommodating and booked us outside their normal schedule. I was extremely nervous about falling out of the raft but Crock took great care of us. Crock' sure knows what he is doing and knows the river really well! We were happy to have a raft and trip just for our group. We were given thorough safety information (and I was given lots of reassurance) and we also had Kirby in the safety kayak out in front. He also took and shared pictures with us which was definitely appreciated. This is a smaller company and they were all invested in making this a memorable and safe experience for us all. Hopefully we can come back sometime and we would not hesitate to book with West Virginia Adventures again!
