Class III/IV rapids provide excitement and a trip you will never forget. Amazing scenery, high adventure, no experience required, trips run March through October each year. Day trips meet at 9 AM and include a riverside catered lunch break at the halfway point. Short on time? Try the Afternoon Express run, meeting 3 PM daily.

The staff and owner (Rob) are amazing, from scheduling a time to the final goodbyes. Checking- In was painless. We had 2 guides (Crock and Tristan) both were very helpful in getting us set up with suites, PFD’s and even a helmet with a go pro mount already attached. Tristan was fun and Entertaining and crock has some stories you’ll just have to hear yourself. Rob was on stand by in the kayak for just in case we got dumped out. My family and friends had a great day and if we come back to this area West Virginia Adventures will definitely be on the stop list.

We loved our day on the lower New River. The rapids were a lot of fun and our guide was the best. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and easy going. He informed us thoroughly before every rapid we went through about how to maneuver and what may or may not happen. He prepared us well. It was definitely a day to remember!

Great experience!! Beautiful place, fun ride, and fun people. My wife and teenage son and I went on the Intermediate New River 6 hr, 7-mile white water rafting experience with West Virginia Adventures. This was our first time white water rafting. They take safety very seriously and made sure we were educated and felt a part of the experience. This is a small operation, but they have great equipment and are very personable. Our guide Kirby was knowledgeable and made the experience really fun! The owner, drove us in his personal vehicle to the drop-in point and kayaked in front of us and then had us all picked up after we were done. They had drinks for us when we finished and we were back to our vehicle an hour before 3. They packed a nice lunch for us and found us a great spot along the river to eat. When my son was cold from swimming in the river, Kirby gave him one of the shirts off his back to keep him warm. We found this place on Tripadvisor and it had really good reviews. I agree and wanted to leave one as well. Highly recommend.
