My mom and I were in New Orleans for a few days celebrating my birthday and I had a few activities lined up since she had never been. My mom loves looking at homes in other cities so I thought this tour would be great. It was a very hot day so I scheduled the early 10am tour. We were so warmly greeted by Jackie in a cafe nearby. This tour was packed full of information. This 2 hour tour flew by so quickly! Talking with Jackie was like having a conversation with a friend. She was so knowledgeable about the homes, who lived there and the history each residence carried. She answered every question asked and my Mom and I were able to share some information with her as well. Jackie also made sure that when we stopped and she was giving us some information that we were in a shaded area and ensuring we had time to take water breaks. Walking the Garden District on our own would've been nice but would have lacked all the information and Louisiana charm that Jackie gave us. I hope everyone can have a chance to tour with her!

Jackie deserves 10 stars! "Louisiana charm" is a great way to describe her tours, plus she just knows so much! I am so happy you and your mom were able to walk and talk with Jackie and I think she enjoyed the tour as much as y'all did! See y'all next time!

Libby is an amazing, passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. She was also very responsive leading up to the tour and chose an easily accessible meeting spot. She will show you all of the beautiful houses in the Garden District and give you all of the background stories and tell you who currently lives in them. I truly enjoyed this tour and recommend it to anyone visiting NOLA.

We were trying to see as much of New Orleans as possible in a short time. We had signed up for this tour and, although heavy rain was forecast for later in the day and the tour operator had offered to let us take the tour at another time, we decided to go ahead with the tour as scheduled. Well, the rain came a little early and became an absolute downpour approximately half way through the tour. Nevertheless, our tour leader, Suzanne, completed the entire tour with good humor and we all arrived at the ending location drenched but knowing much more about the Garden District. All of the tours and tour leaders associated with Lucky Bean Tours were excellent and Suzanne was no exception.

Thanks! I am sorry you got drenched, but I am glad you were with Suzanne, as she is a dynamic tour guide with an enthusiastic appreciation of the history of the Garden District. I hope you learned a lot about New Orleans, but I hope you are still intrigued and curious about this great old city, as we are looking forward to touring with you again.
